Who I am!!

                                                           WHO I AM?

Many people have pondered, and maybe even struggled, with these questions: Who Am I? Where do I fit in this world? What is my purpose?

When I look back over my life I can remember times that made me want to question, “Who am I that the God of the universe would care about me, would love me?”

God cares about every aspect of who we are because we are His creation made in His image

(see Genesis 1:27).

Luke 12:6-7 tells us this, “What is the price of five sparrows, two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.”

We also see in Psalm 139 how deep and how much God sees us, and knows us, and is constantly with us (see vv. 1-3, 7, 15-18)

There have been times when I felt unworthy to receive God’s love, but then I look to the Word of God and see that ALL His love, ALL His mercy, and ALL His grace are gifts from our Heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally. (see Ephesians 2:8-9, Lamentations 3:22-23, Psalm 103:8)

So now we don’t ever have to feel unloved or unworthy of God’s great love. Open your Bible and feed on God’s Word. It is full ~ from Genesis to Revelation ~ of God’s love and faithfulness to His children. God’s love for us is eternal.

Romans 8:38-39 says this,

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow–not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below–indeed nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our LORD.”

You see, God’s love is here. We just have to want it and receive it. It’s that simple.

Ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your LORD and Savior. Make Him the Master of your life, and He will (see Romans 10:9-10,13). You just need to be humble before Him and believe in your heart that Jesus is LORD.

Keeping prayer and the Word in your heart will give you victory in your life.

It has the power to heal past hurts, heal you physically, and help you to forgive those who have hurt you. The more you are abiding in the Word, the more you become like Jesus, and think like Jesus. We start to love people like Jesus.

The Word of God - our Bible - is a weapon against the evil one. It is the sword of the Spirit. God gives us spiritual weapons to fight the good fight of faith (see Ephesians 6:10-18).

God will never stop loving His children. He can’t help it. GOD IS LOVE!!! We are called to love God and love people. He equips us to do both.

So, the next time you think about that question, “Who am I?....

You tell yourself, and anyone else who wants to listen, “I am a child of the Most High God and He loves

me!”
