Believe For It All
What in your life are you believing for? What are you believing and trusting in?
Whatever your answers are, God has so much more for you!
In CeCe Winans song ‘Believe For It’, she sings: “You are the way when there seems to be no way. We trust in You, God, You have the final say.” Well, if we know God is in control of all things, and has the final say, wouldn’t we want to go from the concept of God - head knowledge - to knowing Him intimately? When we know God intimately, we become fully persuaded and the transfer from KNOWING to BELIEVING takes place.
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our LORD.” Our salvation is a free gift!
The word ‘salvation’ in the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance shows us a deeper meaning. The word translated ‘salvation’ includes health, healing, deliverance, rescue, safety, protection, and provision. So we see that not only is salvation a free ticket to Heaven, it also includes many more free gifts and blessings.
Psalm 91:16 says, “With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Salvation has a Name
Acts 4:12 TPT “There is no one else who has the power to save us, for there is only
one name to whom God has given authority by which we must experience salvation–
The Name of Jesus.”
Salvation has a plan
Psalm 33:1-11 v.11 “But the LORD’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never
be shaken.” God’s plan is for His children to be with Him in Heaven. He wants none to
perish. (see John 3:16-17)
Salvation has a destination
Be confident about your future with God. Because of the Resurrection, we can face
whatever comes our way with confidence, knowing that when we leave this world, we will be with God forever. As Jesus was raised from the dead, so in Christ we will be raised with Him. (see 1 Corinthians 15)
Author Tim Keller writes, ‘Why is it so hard to do the right thing if you know it’s going to cost you money, reputation, maybe even your life? Why is it so hard to face your own death or the death of loved ones? I think it might be hard for some people because they think this world, with all its problems and evil things going on, is really all there is. They have no hope in God or in Heaven,'
but, Hallelujah we know better!
Be confident about your future, about your eternity! Jesus is alive and He is with you.
God is always with us. He goes before us and follows us. (see Psalm 139:5)
Jesus told His disciples to go out and preach the Good News and that He would be with them (and us) always, “even to the end of the age”. (see Matthew 28:19-20)
Jesus commissioned us -- not a suggestion but a command -- to go out and speak. As we do that, we can be confident that God’s power will be with us. With the confidence and power the Holy Spirit gives us, we can expect miracles and signs to follow us. (see Mark 16:17-18)
Healing for example, is not confined to those who have the special gift of healing, but is for all ‘who believe’ (v.17). It is a free gift! It is God who heals, but he involves you in his plans: ‘The Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it’. (see Hebrews 2:4)
Salvation is the promise of God fulfilled. The apostle Paul preached this message: “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.(SALVATION) For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” Romans 10:9-10
Once again, our heart comes into play. We must BELIEVE, truly have the faith to believe in it!
Although you cannot know the details of your future, you can be assured of God’s blessing and promise on your future. In Leviticus 26 3-16 God promises that if you obey Him you will enjoy fruit (v.4), satisfaction, safety (v.5), peace, with no fear (v.6), growth (v.9), the Presence of the LORD (v.12), and confidence ‘to walk with heads held high’ (v.13)
God said all this to them so they would truly know that they could be free. God only asks us to BELIEVE!
These blessings described in the Book of Leviticus are also for us today. God offers us His safety, His peace, His Presence, and the confidence to walk with our heads held high.
Even though we will face trials and difficulties in this life, God will still pour out His blessings on us because of our faith and love for Him. Jesus told us we would have these difficulties, but we should remember that He overcame the world! (see John 16:33)
If you have been trying to do all the right things but it seems like things just keep going wrong, don’t give up! If you feel like people are against you or you feel alone, don’t give in! Your Heavenly Father sees it all and understands. If you BELIEVE and TRUST in Him, He will not leave you there in that place. Genesis 37:18-36 we see how Joseph was treated by his brothers. Joseph did not give up or give in. He trusted the LORD to see him through.
God has plans for our lives, and they will not be derailed. Jeremiah 30:24 So even if we are perplexed by our situation, discouraged about the direction our life is going in, GOD IS NOT! God always prepares His people for the season they are in, even though it may not feel like it at times. Psalm 66:10-12 tells us that God tests us. He will use people, situations, and problems to do this. God wants our obedience, along with our love and trust. He wants us to have the abundant life that His Son, Jesus, died to give us. (see John 10:10)
According to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, the Word translated "salvation" includes health, healing, deliverance, rescue, safety, protection, and provision.
Our salvation includes responsibilities. We are only the stewards of what God gives and allows us to have. The LORD says, “The land belongs to me…” (see Leviticus 25:23)
Our properties, our possessions, all belong to God. We own these things for a season, but God owns them permanently. God does, and will provide all we need (see Matthew 6:33), but we can not forget that there is a responsibility to steward well what we’ve been given.
Let us think about our salvation as more than our ticket to Heaven. It is so much more than that! It is truly knowing the LORD and becoming more like Him, and becoming more like Him means that we will do the things that He did. Jesus tells us that in John 14:12. How can we do these same works as Jesus did? We do them by the Anointing Power of the Holy Spirit Acts 10:38. All believers have that power within them. This means that you and me, as reborn children of God, have the same Holy Spirit as Jesus did and can live and do the things that He did while He walked the earth!
Do you want all that Heaven offers? Do you want to be like Jesus and do the things He did?
You can have it all through the extraordinary gift called salvation!
CeCe Winans song, ‘Believe For It’ says, “From the impossible we’ll see a miracle, God we believe, God we believe for it…..You said it, I believe it. You said it, it is done.”
“You must love your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.”
Mark 12 30
Love God ~ Trust God ~ Believe God! Truly Believe the Promises and Plans He has for your life. You will be glad you did and your life will never be the same!
